Check time is correct on the Mk1C and your computer - Check your Mk1C has the correct date and time as per this FAQ.
Connect to the same network - If your institution uses a VPN, make sure you are on the same network as the Mk1C.
Make sure remote connection is enabled - Check the setting panel on the Mk1C to ensure remote connection is enabled.
Use the Mk1C IP address if the serial number does not find the Mk1C (i.e. replace MC-XXXXX) - The IP address of the Mk1C can be found in the settings panel on the UI of the Mk1C.
