What should I do if translocation speed goes up?
What should I do if translocation speed goes up?
Updated over a week ago

An increase in translocation speed can be observed during your sequencing run (if basecalling is turned on).

The translocation speed plot below offers a real-time representation of the speed at which DNA/RNA molecules pass through the nanopore - the median target (shown in green) represents the normal range for translocation speed.

If translocation speed increases, please check the temperature of your device, making sure it is away from any heat sources.

You can check your sequencing temperature by monitoring the temperature plot below in MinKNOW - making sure it is within the expected range (shown in green).
