How to update your Mk1C signing key
Updated over a week ago

A signing key is a security feature allowing you to safely update minKNOW on your Mk1C. You can continue to sequence on your device as usual, but in order to now update and get the latest and greatest features, such as sequencing with Kit14, short fragment mode and adaptive sampling (beta) you'll need to update your signing key.

To help aid you through this process we've put together a step-by-step tutorial for various operating systems. The whole process should take no longer than 10 minutes. A link to the tutorial can be found below.

If your Mk1C is already on version 22.05.8 or you've already updated the signing key, you do NOT need to follow the tutorial. Please note you'll also need to follow this tutorial if you've updated your operating system via the recently distributed microSDs. The new key can be added to your trusted list by command line at any time.
