Oxford Nanopore Technologies has a flow cell warranty for the number of single nanopores per flow cell purchased from the Store.

For all flow cell types, the number of nanopores has to be determined by the completion of MinKNOW's Platform QC/flow cell check prior to preparing your sequencing run. If the pore count is found to be fewer than the stated warranty amount, please contact the support team within 2 days of performing the QC.

For MinION/GridION Flow Cells, the warranty is for greater or equal to 800 nanopores and the flow cells should be used within 12 weeks of receipt.

For PromethION Flow Cells the warranty is for greater or equal to 5,000 nanopores and the flow cells should be used within 12 weeks of receipt.

For Flongle Flow Cells the warranty is for greater or equal to 50 pores and the flow cells should be used within 4 weeks of receipt.

Don’t worry when you check your flow cell if it looks like there is liquid condensation inside the packaging – this is purely a cosmetic issue and does not affect flow cell performance.

Our packaging contains moisture control technology that ensures the flow cells are environmentally controlled during shipping and storage.
