How important is the quality of my DNA/RNA?
Updated over a week ago

DNA/RNA quality is essential for a successful Nanopore sequencing experiment.

It is important to check the input DNA/RNA for quality before beginning library preparation. Low molecular weight, incorrectly quantified, and/or contaminated input samples can have a significant impact on the sequencing performance.

Please refer to the input DNA/RNA QC protocol for detailed guidance. The effects of contaminants can be found here.

Additionally, the validated Extraction Methods for various sample types provide helpful information on how to generate high-quality input materials.
