The new ligation kit SQK-LSK114 offers the inclusion of Library Solution (LIS), a buffer that can be used instead of Library Beads to load the library into the flow cell.

We recommend using the Library Beads (LIB) for loading your library for most sequencing experiments.

However, some customers have noticed that viscous libraries can be loaded more easily when not using Library Beads. Therefore, if water was used previously to load your viscous library, we recommend using Library Solution (LIS) instead of water after switching to SQK-LSK114.
