The Flow Cell Wash Kit XL (EXP-WSH004-XL), which contains sufficient reagents for 48 reactions, is a scaled-up version of the Wash Kit EXP-WSH004.

The wash mechanism is based on the use of a nuclease to digest and remove nucleic acid that has been previously loaded onto the flow cell, with as little as 0.1% of any previous library contaminating a subsequent run.

To further eliminate library cross-cotamination, users can consider barcoding samples. This will allow bioinformatically separating reads from different libraries.
